This SoulPancake film, shared in April 2013, is all about Shane Burcaw, a 20-year-old student with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).

The film follows Shane and his friends and family and shows why his optimism and lust for life makes him such an inspiration to everyone he meets. Shane set up a non-profit organization called Laughing At My Nightmare which aims to spread awareness of SMA and providing equipment grants for other SMA patients.
