Dose of DeAnn Episode 23: Assistive Technologies and Services
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GqGJzLADb0
In this episode of Dose of DeAnn: A Glimpse Into My Life with SMA, I talk about some of the ways I’ve been able to acquire various assistive technologies and tools. I would not have been able to purchase some of the tools I use on my own budget, but fortunately there are a lot of organizations that have provided me with them.
These organizations include NMD United (https://www.nmdunited.org/), Laughing At My Nightmare (https://www.laughingatmynightmare.com/) and Cure SMA (http://www.curesma.org). I provide information about what these organizations do, and how they can help you acquire assistive technologies.
Also in this video, I do an unboxing of items I received in a Cure SMA care package. These items include a layer of sheepskin cloth, a heat pad, an Amazon Echo device and more. You can learn more about how to receive one of these packages here: http://www.curesma.org/news/teen-adult-supportprogram.html.
