31 Days of SMA — Normalize Disabled Models
For the past 2 years, Vita has been signed with a Slovenian modeling agency and gotten a firsthand look at the lack of inclusion in the fashion industry today. Despite being signed, many customers or brands aren’t as willing to be inclusive with their campaigns, and through her work, Vita hopes to change that landscape. Do you feel as though the fashion industry needs to do more in hiring disabled models and making their brands more inclusive? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Modeling is just one area lacking disability representation. If we can keep chipping away as this disparity hopefully it will change. Kudos to Vita for taking on that challenge.

Agreed. The fashion industry as a whole is very inaccessible, not just with modeling. Slowly but surely, though, we will get there. At least, I hope.
