Figured Out Off is On and On is Off
For the life of me I couldn’t figure out why Alexa wasn’t turning my bathroom light on and off. Despite responding, “Okay,” nothing happened. Luckily I have alternative means, but it’s still annoying. After days of trying to figure it out totally by accident I said, “Alexa, turn off the bathroom,” when I meant to say “on.” The lights turned on! So, I tried, “Alexa, turn off the bathroom.” No dice. After trying, “Alexa, turn on the bathroom.” Voila, the light turned off. So now “off” is on and “on” is off. Why? I have no idea. I’m just happy I figured it out. Is it fixable? Probably, but I’ll save that for another day.

I have Alexa. Most likely you have to delete the skill and re-add it

Yes, Tammy’s correct. I recently just learned how to use skills and, well, Alexa in general which is a little embarrassing considering I’ve had an Amazon echo for a few years now. But now that I know what I’m doing, setting skills and routines is so fun haha.
