Pictured above is my Halloween costume from this year. I went as Daredevil, the blind superhero from Marvel comics and the Netflix tv show. It was a pretty simple costume to put together: all-black, soft boots, a see-through cloth that I used for the mask, and the baton is actually the pole my parents and caregivers use to take my ceiling lift on and off its railing. I’ll also be wearing this costume to Comicon in about a week. Halloween is kind of year-round for me.

I’ve said this before, but I love Halloween for its inclusiveness. A ton of people with disabilities do things to make their wheelchairs part of their costumes, which I find really cool. For me it’s just a cool holiday in which everyone can participate in.

Anyone have any good costumes or experiences they want to share?

As you well know, I’m also a big Daredevil fan. Love this!
