    I don’t know if you’re still able to edit it or add editorial comments, but you really shouldn’t let him say there’s a cure for SMA, there isn’t. Yes, there is a treatment, but if you’ve read much about it you’ll see that everyone makes sure to never say it’s a cure.

      Lupa, I think what Sam meant was that there’s hope for a cure in the future. He understands that Spinraza is not that, but that there could be something down the road.

      Technically it’s a treatment and not a cure, but many people use them interchangeably. Hopefully it won’t mislead anyone given the context of the interview.
