Making Disability Sexy
Sometimes people who don’t know better have notions that disability and sex do not go together. Don’t tell Danielle Sheypuck that. “I’m ‘Ms. Wheelchair New York’ by night,” says the blond beauty pageant competitor.
In this PBS News Hour video, meet Sheypuk. She’s a clinical psychologist and a part-time runway model who happens to have spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) type 2 and uses a wheelchair to get around. Danielle talks about her dating life and how having a disability should never hold anyone back from intimacy and sexual relationships.
