I hope you can find some encouragement from this piece. It requires a lot of planning and figuring out logistics, but it’s very possible for those of us with SMA to have a weekend with friends and gain more independence. Feel free to ask me any questions you have about finding caregivers, handling logistical factors or anything else.

Glad you were able to get everything lined up. It can certainly take a lot of planning ahead, and like you mentioned even when you think you have a plan it can fall through. It’s definitely worth the extra planning to do something you enjoy.
