Hey all. I know we talk a lot about Amazon Echos and all the capabilities they have to make our lives more independent at home. But I was thinking… are there any other household gadgets/appliances/tech you own to foster more independence? If so, what are they and how do they help?

I use those long wooden s’mores sticks to hit the light switches that aren’t attached to the Amazon device LOL

I love my Back Scratcher.  I use it in bed to move covers, pull cell phone and remotes to me that slide out of my reach and obviously itch.  I use an extra-large metal extender one, it’s very light weight.

Lately I’ve really been liking my various bottle/can openers. I don’t always use them in traditional ways, but with some finagling can get them to work. Except for nail polish bottles. Those are tricky.
