NJ Tubes
Hey all. Has anyone here had (or maybe still have) an NJ tube for extra nutrition? I believe I had one in the hospital a few years ago (can’t remember if it was an NG or NJ tube), but it was only for a few days. Curious as to what your experiences were like with something more long-term. Thanks in advance.

Once upon a time I had an NG tube for about a week or two before I got my PEG tube. At the time I was told the NG wasn’t a good long term solution because it can aggravate your nasal cavity and cause throat irrigation. I found that to be true for me after a few days. I’ve heard other folks have them long term, no issue so I don’t know. For me the PEG tube was a better option.
