I’m definitely not socializing AS much as pre-pandemic, but I still do things here and there. I just don’t overdo it. I still get together with friends but mostly outdoor related things, except for instances where we go to the movie theater. And I still work 4 times a week but I always wear a mask and I never go indoor anywhere public without a mask on. I went to a few concerts this year and though I was a little on edge about it(even commuted via train during crowded rush hour to 1), I had a good time and nothing bad happened after. I’m definitely still out all the time but I’m a lot more careful. I hope the day comes when it’s more manageable like the flu is. Yes the flu still kills people but nobody was masking up and living in fear like we do with covid. I’m also lucky that all my really close friends are mask wearers in public as well so I don’t mind being around them

Just an fyi, if you are doing at home tests or any other rapid test.. they are not always accurate. PCR is the only way to know for sure. I have known many people personally, including myself, who have had not only false positives, but also false negatives. I never rely on them

I do have work experience, but not the type of job that I would call a career. Which I would like to have. They are just job jobs. My first job was a camp counselor at a day camp. Then after that my senior year of high school I started working at a grocery store a few towns away because my best friend worked there and she thought it would be fun for us to work together. Here I am now at 41 years old and I still work there lol, although it’s not the same store anymore. Different owners, different store. It’s a paycheck and I look at it that way. But it certainly not something I wanted to do forever.

I know this question isn’t involving masks but I couldn’t find where the old topic was posted regarding the recall. Has anybody else received any updates on this matter? I feel like it’s really odd that we are told to continue using this product when they’re is an issue with it. I find it all to be very weird

No major plans other than some beach days. We are about to hit a heatwave this week so definitely won’t be doing it this week LOL other than that, just been working as usual. Went to a concert last week and have another one coming up in october. But other than that, business as usual

I personally have never gone for any vitamin infusions. But also you could try (which maybe you already know about it), putting raw baby spinach with yogurt and some type of berry to flavor it and put it all in a blender with some milk. Spinach is a great natural iron supplement

Random question. Does the jaco drain your chair’s battery a noticeable amount?

Luckily I haven’t had this happen to me as an adult. But what does kind of annoy me even though it’s meant with good intentions, is people letting me cut in line in front of them. like oh you go ahead. As if like the “poor you” kind of sentiment. I usually always respond with no that’s okay you can go.

Hahaha such little things that are such a nuisance to all of us. I thought I was the only one LMAO. I don’t get irritated in the literal sense on my skin. but I do get annoyed when they put it all over the place like a wildebeest. I had to tell 1 to stop smearing it halfway up my arm after she’s done applying it LOL. Never thought I’d have to give directions on how to apply deodorant. But I have literally had to say, when you are done swirling it on the armpit just simply pull it away from me, you don’t need to make it swoosh in the upward direction all over my arm

    1. Zip ties rule, i use them all over the chair
    2. I use command strips for some switches as well. You can even cut them if they are too big

I’ve gotten to the point where I just let my mouth fly lol. And I make that clear to them now LOL. I have even said to some of their faces… You can feel free to do things however you like in your own home but in my home we will do things the way I like since it’s my stuff and my care. I’ve also even pointed out to them, I’m sure you wouldn’t like somebody telling you how to do something in your home. I just don’t even care anymore LOL. People need to have some respect and think about how they would feel if it was them. I had a girl one time fold my toilet paper pieces into little tiny strips the size of like a credit card-ish, and I was like can you unfold that and make it bigger please. She was like, it doesn’t matter. And I was like, well it does to me. I’m sure we all have endless amounts of stories lol

Yes they are very particular about making sure all labels and pieces of tape are off. That I know because I’ve already been taking them to the recycler since last spring. It probably messes up the process if pieces of tape or paper get in it

Yeah I would love to but unfortunately finding a ride there and back is always an issue. And then when I do have people with me I’m always so jam-packed with trying to get everything done before they leave that it’s like I never have enough time for anything else. So frustrating

I would love to do something with animals. Also have had a lot of interest in dna/crime scene analysis type of stuff. Even though it sounds morbid an creepy. It just stinks because you go on interviews and everybody’s always super nice to your face and then you just never get a call back lol. Only places that ever seem to hire me are grocery stores. My current one isn’t the only one I’ve worked for. I used to work for two different ones at the same time. Because I have front end and customer service experience. They always seem to like me. But I just wish I had a job I could be proud of lol. But oh well I guess it’s better than nothing. And I really do love my coworkers. Well most of them lol. There’s a lot of us who have been there for a really long time. And we are all pretty close

I have the same method unfortunately LOL. Wish there was a better way than ripping all of my clothes at some point but nobody seems to be able to do it any other way. I have to have them yank on my waistbands in order to get my hips scooted back all the way because everybody for some reason likes to put me on the edge of my seat in a lying down position rather than putting me down into the chair in a sitting position. I don’t really get it. How do people think I’m supposed to sit up in a chair if they’re putting me in to it laying down and half falling out LOL. I mean they don’t sit down into a chair like that themselves so I don’t really understand why they would put somebody else in that way. But I have found a little bit of a hack for dresses and skirts. I put on a pair of cotton shorts underneath and then have them feel for the waistband and scoot me with that

LMAO yes it’s like I said no dammit! LOL. But yeah sometimes it can be embarrassing especially if I’m with a group of friends. It just makes me feel kind of low. And I don’t like my friends looking at me that way, even though I know they don’t. But I’m like please, sitting in a wheelchair doesn’t mean I need to cut in front of everyone. I’m really ok LOL. Like I said I know they only mean well but it can be embarrassing depending on the situation
